16 years ago I was born after several hours of oxygen deprevation. This deprevation is what caused me to be diagnosed with Ataxic Cerebral Palsy and Cervical Dystonia. As I grew up I realized that I wasn't always able to do what other kids my age could do with regards to physical activity. This meant that I had to somewhat re-invent the way to do things so that I myself could do them. I am now a skilled snowboarder with little standing in my way. I have also branched out to kneeboarding and wake boarding this summer as well. The thing that I really like about Adaptive Adventures is that it's not a group where you get a chance to sit and complain about life. Instead the staff and volunteers with Adaptive Adventures push you to be as much as you can be which is what I enjoy so much about this group. Adaptive Adventures has also let me teach what I know to others in the adaptive community as well. Please donate to keep this great group running.
