Hello! My name is Caroline Leal and boy do I have some exciting news. I have been selected to travel to Nicaragua, on behalf of Photographers Without Borders. Their mission is simple: to raise awareness of grassroot causes around the world.
About El Porvenir
Clean drinking water is at the core of this organization. They work with rural Nicaraguan communities to promote and establish sustainable water and sanitation projects as well as health and hygiene education and reforestation. My photography and videography services are offered cost free to El Porvenir. They will then be given all the images royalty-free, unlimited term license to use as necessary to promote their cause.

This is a 100% volunteer trip and fully self-funded. I have set the goal of raising $3000 to donate to El Porvenir. All donations are tax-deductible with any surplus funds going directly to El Porvenir.
After the project is completed, this page will turn into cause-promoting pages. Finished photographs, videos and stories are uploaded and funds raised are donated to the documented cause.
About PWB
PWB works with photographers and videographers to provide visual media free of charge to small charities and NGOs. Photographers Without Borders (PWB) is a registered, not-for-profit organization based in Toronto, Canada and a registered charity in the United States with 501(c)(3) status. PWB Canada was founded by Danielle Da Silva in 2009. while PWB US was founded by Phil Spitze in 2006. I'll be working on their upcoming projet with El Porvenir, in Nicaragua.

I live to tell stories. Whether I'm writing tales from the road on my travel blog or capturing unique moments with my camera, storytelling is what keeps me inspired. I thrive in rich, cultural settings where human stories take centre stage. I have traveled to over 25 countries and what I remember most are the unique moments spent with locals : the storytelling, the misunderstandings, the silence, the chaos, the cups of tea, the dancing. They are rich memories I try to immortalize with my camera whether it's through photography or video.
