July 11th and 12th I will be participating in the Cycling for Sight Tour, which raises money for the San Diego Center for the Blind.
The Cycling For Sight Tour is the culmination of a year's worth of work put in by numerous sighted tandem captains and visually impaired tandem stokers.
Why should you help?
1. The San Diego Center for the Blind needs funds in order to provide services to the blind of San Diego. Programs like daily living, individual and group counseling, kitchen skills, career development, job placement, and a whole lot more. Demand for the services that the Center for the Blind offers is growing all the time. You can learn more about the Center for the Blind here - http://www.sdcb.org/ .
2. This Blind Stoker program makes a very real difference in the lives of the stokers, as well as the captains. The life skills, confidence, and fitness that a Blind Stoker develops through this program are invaluable.
3. As a 501C3, all donations to the San Diego Center for the Blind are tax deductible.
Please take a moment to contribute where possible. My goal is to raise more than $500. I really need your help!
