Wow! The day of Free2Walk St. Albert raised nearly $2600 in pledges and donations!
Including the previous donations from Paul Kane High School, Free2Walk St. Albert has not only raised around $5000 to go towards Not for Sale, but we have reached two local newspapers, the St. Albert Leader and the St. Albert Gazette, as well as reaching the air on CTV, CBC and Global News.

Be a Backyard Abolitionist
The Social Justice League at Paul Kane High School believes that the city of St. Albert, as a community, has the power to take action. Together we join others to end modern-day slavery. Get your family and friends involved to take a stand against human trafficking.
The 2 kilometer Free2Walk St.Albert downtown march will be held May 18, 2013, to raise pledges and awareness towards the abolition of modern day slavery.
Registration will begin at 9:30 am in Lions Park. The walk will begin at 10:30, after hearing from some speakers including our Mayor, Mr. Nolan Crouse. A barbecue and tented activities will follow the event.
To participate, please (1) register online and (2) fill out an individual or family pledge form.
Our goal is to raise $1,000 for the Not for Sale Campaign, an international organization that fights against human trafficking. Not For Sale has a mission to create a world where no one is for sale, battling modern-day slavery through business creation, supply chain evaluation, and after care aid.
