Hits for 147

147 Million Orphans provides food, water and medicine to children affected by the orphan crisis.  Our projects primarily focus on specific communities in Uganda, Haiti, and Honduras.  Whether it is formula for an infant, a community feeding program, a clean water well, or medicine for a clinic, our Love+ 1 projects provide for basic needs.

I visited Haiti last January for the first time. The people there had a bigger impact on me than I could ever have imagined. I saw God through their unconditional love. I have been looking for a way to give back to these people in need. Our Showtime 17U baseball team wants to play for something more than wins. We are a travel baseball team based in the Middle Tennessee area. We play all summer long in places like Cincinatti, Memphis, Florida, and locally. We thought it would be a good idea to play with the idea of helping others in need, so we are starting Hits for 147. The basic idea is just like a run where people pledge money for every mile a runner makes it. Since we play baseball we would love for you to pledge money for every hit, strikeout, win, etc. You pick how much money is donated for any of the above. It can be something as simple as 25 cents per hit. Every cent we make will be donated to 147 million orphans, specifically for medical supplies in Haiti. Your support would be much appreciated. Let's make sure the people in Haiti get the medical support they need!
