Scripture says “whatever you, do it all for the glory of God.”
Why do I run? I run because no more than 7 years ago, I was at rock bottom. I felt stagnant, isolated, alone..... i felt stuck. So I decided to start running. To get unstuck. One foot in front of the other.
Why run a marathon? It takes sheer mental toughness to continue running even when you are in utter pain. During my long runs I focus on all the tasks I tried before I failed. On all the times that I felt I was undeserving. Pushing through 26.2 stinking miles reminds me that I can do anything I put my mind into. This will be my victory, and I deserve it.
Finally, Why do I run for Be Change?
For a democracy to work, its citizens must be educated. "Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education," Franklin Roosevelt.
I came from a country where democracy fails because its citizens are not educated.
That is the reason why I run for Be Change, because I love the USA. I think it is the greatest country in the world and I would like to do my part to keep it that way. For my children, and my children's children.
