Run for a Reason

Be Change is an organization that sponsors the students at Oak Ridge Elementary School. Oak Ridge Elementary School is located in the heart of Oak Park, which is the most economically deprived and poverty-stricken neighborhood in Sacramento. On December 4, 2011, I’m planning to run in the CIM marathon. I’m running on behalf of the Be Change running group. I will be joined by more than 200 other runners. Each runner is seeking to raise $1000 to cover one child for excellent after-school programming, literacy, nutrition and fitness awareness, and continued health care enrollment assistance.
I would like to give you an opportunity to be a part of something bigger than you and me. Would you be willing to sponsor me in my run? Any contributions would be helpful and appreciated (a flat fee or “per mile” amount). My ability to finish the race is only a small part of the equation.
