Ordinary Hero Trips

Last April when I set out for my first trip to Ethiopia, I honestly didn't know what to expect.  I knew I would be going to some of the poorest areas in our world, seeing things that I couldn't imagine, and witnessing the life of an orphan.  I can still remember the first time I set foot in Korah, the trash dump community. I can remember the looks on so many of the childrens faces, running with our van, smiles and just wanting to hold my hand.  You felt nothing but love pour out from a tiny hand.  They were proud, they wanted to show us the little things that they had.  I left my heart at each village, every orphanage and throughout Ethiopia that week. I knew the moment I locked eyes with the people, that I was meant to go back, to serve more and to give more of myself to the poor.  

Ordinary Hero's mission is to inspire and empower ORDINARY people to make an extraordinary difference in the life of a child in need.
