Tee It Up for The First Tee

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Old White TPC Course at The Greenbrier and raise money for The First Tee a group of Golf Professionals completed a 100 Hole Golf Marathon on Monday, June 16th.  The Old White TPC's Head Golf Professional Jamie Hamilton was joined by Justin Beard, Director of Golf at the Glade Springs Resort, Ryan Hartman, Assistant Golf Professional at The Greenbrier Sporting Club, and Matt Burch, Assistant Golf Professional the Wintergreen Resort.  In playing 100 holes on the Old White TPC in one day they celebrated the course's 100th Anniversary but more importantly were able to money for The First Tee and their efforts to help teach important life skills and values to our youth through the game of golf.  The marathon may be over but its not too late to donate to The First Tee, please consider supporting this cause by making a tax deductable donation today!

Since 1997, The First Tee has introduced the game of golf and its inherent values to more than 7.6 million young people.  On golf courses, in elementary schools and on military installations, we've helped shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by teaching them values like integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf.  Values they are able to use on and off the golf course.

A portion of the funds raised through Tee It Up for The First Tee will help support chapters and their programming in the golf course's local communities and a portion will support The First Tee home office which provides curriculum, training and resources to the network.
