Why Thrive Leadership School?
When you were growing up, what types of peer pressures and challenges did students face in high school and college? What about today? Do you think it's easier or harder to be a young person today? Why?
God has called us to reach the 225,000 students within a 40 mile radius of Thrive Leadership School. As I think of those in our area, the challenges are overwhelming.

2) Most Christian youth in america are leaving the church after high school.
-
70-75% of Christian youth LEAVE the church after high school.
-
Those who remain Christian in college face incredible opposition on campus.
3) We must train the future leaders of our generation.
-
The students on high school and college campuses today are our leaders of today and tomorrow.
-
This generation of leaders has the drive, ambition and social media skills to change this world.
-
If we truly desire to reach our world, we have to start where future leaders are shaped.
Ray Johnston, the pastor of Bayside Church said recently, "There’s a major battle raging for the hearts and minds of students today. If we lose our young people, we lose our community. If we lose our community, we lose our culture. If we lose our culture, we lose the world."
In my school, I see every day the battles that students are facing.
Would you agree that we can't sit back and let this keep happening? It will take ALL OF US to reverse these statistics! Something needs to be done.
I am doing this program because...
I know I can make a difference among the community, and these effects won't only be limited to the comunity, they will spread throughout the world! Imagine if you lead 10 people to Christ, and those 10 people lead 10 more people, and so on! You get where I'm getting at? It is possible to make a positive change in many peoples lives even if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, God will bless you and use your life to benefit His kingdom!
What will I be doing at Thrive Leadership School?
The mission of Thrive Leadership School is to equip students like me to make a difference not just today, but for the rest of our lives. Through an intense nine-month program I will receive personal mentoring and leadership development while at the same time taking college classes. In addition, I will be receiving intense training on relationships, apologetics, foundational theology, time management, communication and even personal finances.
I will also be involved in many projects to unleash compassion including Serve Day, Trunk or Treat, monthly outreaches to our community and a gigantic missions trip to Mexico with over 1,000 people.
What is the main Goal?
Really what I'm most excited about in Thrive Leadership School is the opportunity to see lives changed. I knew a girl who relied on everything but God for satisfaction. She later sought out drugs to fulfill her emotional needs and it led her down a dark path. I invited her to church but the fear of going into an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people was crippling. If she had a community like Thrive that came to her and shared the grace and love of God, I feel as if she would have been saved. Youth like her are the ones that need to hear of God's compassion the most but we also have a goal to reach all the youth no matter if there's a visible external need or not.
How are students supported at Thrive Leadership School?
Like many other missions organizations, Thrive Leadership School students depend upon the gifts of friends who have a heart for young people. These funds will be allocated for leadership training, outreach, resources and living expenses for the nine-month program. Each student is responsible for raising his/her personal support. I must find a team of partners who will give financially to help us reach students for Christ.
Will you partner with me to reach this generation?
Obviously, a life-changing school like this is not free. The cost of the nine-month program is $4,500 which is due on August 1st. The total amount of $12,000 that I'm raising enables me to continue my education through online classes at ASU, pay for transportation, buy food and necessities, and go on an additional missionary trip to Nicaragua. At Thrive Leadership School we have a great opportunity to partner together to reach, mentor and change the lives of thousands of students. Would you join our team with a monthly gift of $50, $75, $100 or some other amount through May, 2015?
Why Give?
First of all, all donations are tax deductible!!
As people give, the Bible promises that the Lord will bless them! In addition, my ministry partners will be stockpiling rewards in heaven.
* "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." - 2 Corinthians 9:6
* "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy; and where theives break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy; and where theives do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matthew 6:19-20
