THE NATION OF NIGERIA IS IN TROUBLE

The exploding population is sending the entire country into turmoil. In just 18 years Nigeria’s population has increased dramatically to an estimated 170 million, and now one in four people who live in Africa is Nigerian. Half of the country’s population is under the age of 14, the highest ratio of young people of any country in the world! 

The children of Nigeria need to hear about Jesus.

Human rights violations are rampant. Rape, torture and the cruel and inhumane practice of female genital mutilation also known as female circumcision is still practiced by many ethnic groups. These mutilations are usually performed on very young girls with a just razor blade and without anesthesia.

We must go NOW and take the GOOD NEWS!

Just Recently a band of rebel Muslims known as Boko Haram took nearly 300 young girls prisoner just because they were attending school. Two hundred girls are still being held captive.

Since 2002, this same violent group has terrorized the people in villages, slaughtering them. Their political goal is to divide the nation into two, creating a Sharia Law system in the North.

Jesus is the ONLY ANSWER!

So we are preparing to go and confront “the enemy” HEAD ON. We will teach, and we will preach the Gospel, empowering believers to make a difference in their nation. We have enjoyed relationships with Nigerian leaders for fifty years, so the doors are open to us.
