Thank You So much.......WE HIT OUR LAST BIG GOAL WE NEEDED TO PAY OUR FINAL FEES TO ADOPT LITTLE MISS H!!!

We are in the home stretch of this journey now and we just wait on paperwork and governments to go through all the steps to ensure the safe and ethical adoption of our girl.  As we wait on the paperwork side to be complete we are trying to to start fundraising and saving for our court trip.  The way things have been going lately, families are getting about a week or less notice to travel!  With the short notice, we need to be prepared to book flights, a guest house in country and be ready on a moment's notice to leave the country and meet our daughter!

Thank you for stopping by, we'll keep adding important updates as we receive them.  Please keep Little H in your prayers and thank you for helping us bring her home!!!

May 28th, 2014:  We have accepted a referral for our beautiful daughter in Ethiopia that we refer to as Little Miss H.  She is 4-5 years old and has some special needs and we are beyond excited to get her home.  Right now we have some BIG steps to finish to get to the next step (traveling for court and to meet her).  We thought we would have 1 year to save and raise the funds needed for the next step but God had other plans and we have fees due and paperwork to be completed very soon! If you would like to help us knock down the amount and get to our daughter, you can make a donation on our family’s behalf and every donation is tax-deductible!

If you don’t know us personally or know our story, in short, this is how we came to adoption: We always knew we would adopt one day and talked about it while we were dating.  After our youngest son Jalen was born in 2008, we saw how precious he was to us and how much we loved him and couldn't neglect the fact that there were millions more children out there who were just as precious but didn't have a family to love them. We decided our next children would come to us through adoption. We started our first adoption journey in 2010 as we prayed for a child from Ethiopia and in 2012 we were blessed to adopt a 7 year old boy named Fetinet. Less than a year after bringing Fetinet into our family we announced the news that we were adopting again, still from Ethiopia but this time as requested by our boys, for a younger sister.

You can read more about our family and follow us on our blog at: www.expecting-from-ethiopia.blogspot.com (although we are in the process of changing it and will update the new website when we do)

Thank you all for being a part of our story and part of our future daughter's too!

Love and Blessings,
Joely, Jason, Fetinet & Jalen
