WHAT IS THE RACCOON RUN?
A school wide event in which all students and staff can participate.
Participants will first, get pledges, secondly, run laps and finally, collect money for the school.
WHAT ARE THE GOALS?
Include the entire community in a fitness awareness event.
Make this event a major PTO fundraiser for 2014.
Raise the funds needed to maintain and support PTO programming such as field trips, free school social events, carnival and technology.
Increase Community Involvement.
WHAT DO THE CHILDREN GET?
Understanding of the importance of exercise.
Appreciation for team work and school unity within River Grove.
River Grove T-Shirt for participating.
Every student has a chance to win fabulous prizes...
WHAT DO THE CHILDREN DO?
Have a TON OF FUN!
Use their pledge form to collect money for their school.
Run a 1/10 mile circle track for 20 minutes on “Raccoon Run” Day.
All students participate whether or not they have any pledges.
