Jai Shree Krishna!

The Shreenathji Temple of Phoenix, AZ recently celebrated its second year anniversary. Despite enjoying tremendous success, this letter comes at a time of great sadness. The Shreenathji Temple has had a major legal setback. Over the last two years, there has been a dispute between the general contractor and Vaishnav Samaj of Arizona regarding the actual cost of the Temple. The Temple was sued by the general contractor in 2011 and the verdict came against the Temple this year. We have been ordered by the court to pay the general contractor claim in the amount of $333,000 including attorney & legal fees. This is a devastating situation for the Temple as it does not have this kind of money for such an unexpected expense. If this money is not paid in full in the next few months, there is a very good chance that the contents of the Temple can be seized and the Temple itself can go into auction. We have explored all legal options and are trying to stay out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy.


This letter is a desperate attempt to reach out to all Indians across the United States. We are asking everyone to unite and help us in our darkest hour. By the grace of Shreenathji, the Temple can be saved. Any dollar amount that is possible will be accepted as donation. Time is of the essence and we humbly ask for your generous contribution as soon as possible. The temple is a non-profit organization per IRS code 501(C)(3) so, all donations are tax deductible.
