Tough Mudder

This Saturday, Team Ordinary Hero will scale walls, crawl through mud, run through fire and yes risk electric shock for one reason.....to raise awareness and funds for the Ordinary Hero Foundation.  In particular, to bring two children, a 17 year old boy named Asfaw and an 11 year old girl named Beza, to America.  These two kids  have lived in an orphanage in the countryside of Ethiopia for most of their lives and have never known what it's like to have a mom and dad and a family of their own.

We first met Asfaw and Beza a few years ago while serving their orphanage on a trip to Ethiopia.  After traveling to Ethiopia several times over the last year and visiting their orphanage, my wife began to see these two children transform simply from experiencing the love of a mother. This past fall, we decided to bring them to America to be a part of our family and extend to them an education in America.  

On June 15, our family will travel to Ethiopia for a full month.  We will be leading four different teams, over 100 people, to serve orphanages throughout Ethiopia, advocating and caring for these amazing children.  At the end of our trip, Asfaw and Beza will travel home with us to be a part of our family.
