On August 18th, Pest Management Systems (PMi) invites you to come and join the fun at Tropical Jersey Night as the Greensboro Grasshoppers take on the Delmarva Shorebirds. PMi and its owner, Billy Tesh, are partnering with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro and the Greensboro Builders Association to raise funds and awareness for our Raising Roofs Event held every 2 years. This is the 13th year that PMi has sponsored Tropical Jersey Night at the Ballpark raising funds that have helped build 55 homes in our community! Our next Raising Roofs Event will occur in the Fall of 2017 and will be an amazing 1-week building blitz that involves local builders who generously give of their time and resources to build homes for qualified low-income Habitat homeowners. Support Raising Roofs by making an online donation now or come to Tropical Jersey Night and place a bid at the Silent Auction table for the "game worn" jersey of your favorite player. At the end of the game, the winning bidder has the opportunity to meet the player on the field and receive an autographed jersey.
All proceeds raised online and through the 2016 Tropical Jersey Silent Auction will be applied toward our 2017 Raising Roofs Event. Last year for Tropical Jersey Night, we raised over $7,500 for Raising Roofs! For the past three years, as part of the promotion for Tropical Jersey Night, Julie agreed to take a pie in the face if the Tropical Jersey Night Fundraising Goal was reached. As you can see from the pictures on this page, our goal was reached, and exceeded! Julie is agreeing again to take a pie in the face at the end of the game. We will take bids at the Silent Auction table and the highest bidder will have the opportunity to personally throw the pie in Julie's face. We plan to not only raise over $5,000 but have a fantastic time doing it!! Help us continue to build homes for qualified partner families in the Greensboro area by becoming involved in the Tropical Jersey Night Challenge!
Julie has a passion for Habitat and their vision of "A world where everyone has a decent place to live." She is involved with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro both locally and internationally. Locally, she shares her time and talents as a member of the Development Committee, as well as by serving as the Silent Auction Chair for the 2nd Annual Habitat Greensboro Summer Bash scheduled for August 25, 2017. She has also served as a spokesperson for the Habitat Greensboro ReStore. Internationally, Julie participated on a Habitat Mission Trip to Honduras in 2014 to build homes for Honduran families.

The Tesh Family and PMI have contributed years of service, thousands of man hours at builds and events and, in the last 13 years, have contributed to the building process and fundraising efforts like Raising Roofs. PMi and the Tesh Family are sharing their passion for Habitat Greensboro with all of their friends, supporters and members of the Greensboro community this year and encouraging an easy online donation designated toward Raising Roofs OR by joining us for lots of fun at Tropical Jersey Night on Thursday, August 18th where you can place a bid on a jersey worn by the players with all proceeds going to Raising Roofs!
